Wayne Archer is a native of Hattiesburg MS and is a member of South Mississippi Art Association, New Orleans Photo Alliance and the Cameraderie Photography Club of Hattiesburg. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Hatttiesburg Arts Council.He specializes in Black and White and Sepia-toned Images, and also creates Fine Art from his photographs, which he calls 'The Art of the Photograph'. His work conveys a subjective, impressionistic view of his subjects, capturing a mood, feeling or emotion.
Forrest General Hospital recently purchased over thirty of his sepia-toned prints, primarily of scenes in the Hattiesburg area, for display in the new Cardiac Care Unit and also in the new Orthopedic Institute near Southern Bone and Joint. His extensive collection of Hattiesburg area photographs, travel and landscape photographs, as well as his 'The Art of the Photograph' Collection can also be seen on his website at www.fineartamerica.com.
His photos have also been used by Publishers in books and magazines, and by Interior Designers in homes and commercial buildings.
